  1. lol, it will definatly come after version 1.99
  2. ya, mine is pretty compact w/out the tabs, i like it tho how my weather and google search are there too, but they dont add extra information lines. )corjello(
  3. ok, im alwase intriuged (dont murder me, that is a really hard word to spell) by the way peoples windows and things look. So, i say we all post a screenshot of what our firefox browser looks like at the homepage with a tab that is the home of CCleaner. here is mine (i love my skin) also, would be nice if you said your skin and theme if you have either. Skin - Saferfox Expanded Theme - Energy Blue
  4. sweetness, i love updates. they make me all warm and fuzzy inside. so let the rumors begin. i think the new version will have a lazer beam attached to its head to kill all the files. )corjello(
  5. ok... err... first off, wrong forum buddy. Secondly its CCleaner, (Crap Cleaner). Not C Cleaner or CC Cleaner. Thirdly, CCleaner's primary objective is not to clean your registry, it is to delete temporary files, logs, and backups on your computer that are not needed. The registry cleaner is just an added plus. If you want to have a real registry cleaner, find another piece of software out there on the 'net. )corjello( Edit, whoa im now an advance member. score!
  6. hey, out of curiosity, thats a cool skin for FF. whats is called? and could i get a link to it? also, what are you using to skin windows? thanks )corjello(
  7. not that i know of, that are popular enough for me to trust them. I personally use an old version of aim with aimutation on top. Your needs prolly are diffrent, i say use GAIM and try it out. (I personally didnt like trillian when i tried it either)
  8. sweetness, updates rock. Good job Mr.G!!!!!!!!!! )corjello(
  9. yes, that worked. score! actually i chatted with a dell techy and they told me to delete those, and when the computer started up, do some stuff in the bios (alt f) or something, then save and exit. its working now, just have to find my burner programs. thanks for the help everyone! )corjello(
  10. hi, welcome to the forums. Each option will give you a warning before you use it. The warning tells you exactly what that advanced option. Personally, i dont like some of them such as usser assist history. you know how when you click start, it has 6 frequently used programs? well this clears those out. i dont like to clean that. Basically what i am saying, is that its all up to personall preference. )corjello(
  11. yes, i think something is fishy, i dont believe it to be the hardware. and the system restore has alwase been like that, i am going to call dell today and ill post here what happens. thanks for the help though! )corjello(
  12. sorry for the slow responses, but what i think did it was that i was messing around with my windows components and succesfully deleted all of them. and me not thinking straight, i said i would look for the dell cds right? well even if i found them, my computer wouldnt be able to use them because the drives dont work, DOH! so, ill check that link you posted and keep looking into the problem. Edit: also, for somereason, ive tried system restore and it never works, it alwase says it failed to restore. ive tried multiple times. )corjello(
  13. neither worked.. i am going to find the cds that came with the computer and see if they have the drivers on there. if not im lost for a solution. i even went on dells site and pulled up my computer and downloaded the drivers, but they said no devices were found...
  14. well, poo. removing them and rebooting didnt do it, and they ar enabled.
  15. i was screwing around last night in the advanced stuff, and somehow i managed to make my cd and dvd drives stop working. I went into to trouble shooting and it said my drivers were missing or corrupted. Go Figure i tried running windows update to grab them through that, but it didnt work. any one have any idea where i can get them? 1st drive: Sony dvd-Rom DDU1615 2nd drive: Philips dvd+-RW DVD8631 Thanks for the help )corjello(
  16. you can alwase back up your registry, just in case. dont forget! and thats the purpose of the issues scan, to find unneeded stuff in the registry. Personally, I have never had to revert to a backup. I think you will find many people will say the same thing. Let it run all the way through, backup the registry, and hit fix all. or if you seriously want to, you can go through and manually click fix selected, fix selected, fix selected, fix selected, ect........ )corjello(
  17. im not meaning to sound like an ass, but both of you, mastertech and tarun, have points. Mastertech, problems with programs dont happen to everysingle person out there, stop assuming it happens to everyone, if it did, i garuntee you it would be fixed. tarun, we all know you have a great expertise, try to explain it to him instead of calling names! Mastertech does need to realize what we are saying though. )corjello( PS: I have the problem with FF but not IE. so HA
  18. LMAO -- Laughing My A** Off
  19. ok, in the posts above, the progress bar is supposed to fill up then start over, its not a bug. Let it run all the way through, until its finished. Also analyzing doesnt delete the files, click analyze and once its done, click run cleaner. Or you can just click run cleaner without clicking analyze. )corjello(
  20. i dont really have a solution to your problem, but i have a suggestion. Many people around these forums like FireFox much better that Opera. I am using right now and have fallen in love. I suggest that as a Opera alternative! rridgely --- point taken )corjello(
  21. ahh the dreaded progress bar, lol im just kidding. Ive never heard of a problem with it. A first time scan should never take more that 3 or 4 minutes. First time use on an unkept computer might reach 5. My usuall scans happen in under a minute. )corjello(
  22. i ***think*** it is most likely under the "Windows Explorer" section in the Windows tab. Uncheck the "Other Explorer MRUs". If that doesnt fix your problem post back here. If anyone can correct me, please do. But i am pretty sure. It wont help to try it either. Also are you sure it is CCleaner?? are you sure it is not hd valet? run just CCleaner and see if your problem is still there. )corjello(
  23. yes, it is perfectly safe. If windows needs it, it will simply make another. be sure to alwase make a backup just in case. ( i personally have never had to restore a backup registry because of CCleaner) )corjello(
  24. sorry about the misunderstanding, but unfortunatly my expertise only goes so far.... my suggestion is to uninstall CCleaner and then reinstall it. if that doesnt work, hopefully DJLizzard will help you out. I hope he will stay around the forums, we need him.
  25. 1. THe install file is not needed, for saftey issues, i personally keep the current version and the last realesed version. This way if i have a problem with the newer one i can just revert back to the last one that worked perfect. But it is not needed by CCleaner. 2. After reading yuor last posts i dont think you fully understand the diffrence between issues and cleaner. Issues has to do with your registry (old registry files that are left on your computer after a install/uninstall) while cleaner is to do with temp files and other unneeded and waste files that programs keep ( such as your internet browser!). I have ran the issues on multiple computers and am proud to say that i have never ever had a problem occur because of it. But to be safe! You can alwase make a backup of the registry. I have never had to revert to an old registry because of CCleaner. I hope this helps! )corjello(
