  1. Hence why i let it run at startup.
  2. You mean to tell me you actually sit there and watch the bar? Why? Just let it run and carry on. It's not a progress bar any way. It's there to show you the programme is still active. There has been loads of threads for people asking this. I don't exactly see a benefit for the feature. It's not like CCleaner will be running for hours.
  3. Maybe not the most useful idea ever, but.... maybe being able to choose what is deleted at system startup? as well as having certain set options when CCleaner is run with the context menu. You can obviously select what is cleaned when CCleaner is running. But there are certain options that i just dont need at system startup. For one Empty of recycle bin. It just generally comes down to for me is to try and speed it up a little bit more when windows loads.
  4. No...... I like Ccleaners size and use it purely for a cleaner. If i needed to check what runs at system start up & what services run, i would use msconfig or a programme called 'autoruns'.
  5. Thanks for the helpful reply. It actually makes sense now. Yes for some reason i use 35 overpasses. God knows why when im just deleting basic stuff like txt files. old films, music etc. come to think of it why? for some reason i just dont like the thought of deleting stuff, actually being recovered. Not that im hiding ne thing. make sense? Just set it to one now
  6. I no two very much different bit's of software, But i just wanted to know other peoples opinions. Iv used CCleaner a long while now and i think it's brillient(up to this latest version) I have CCleaner to run at startup(takes years now(i know ther eis topics about the speed of it in latest version but have not yet read why)) But when it comes to right clicking recycle bin i have been using eraser now as it is so much faster(i no CCleaner does alot more when erasing) it just seems to take for ever now
  7. thank you i did find empty folder nuker or something, was useless.
  8. I know glarys has this, But i dont want glarys on my computer(personal choice) so im looking for just a 'empty folder finder' nothing more, nothing less. I dont want other tools/clean ups etc thanks

    Oh no, not your cookies
  10. Then why have this option?
  11. I would not use this feature if CCleaner had it. I like very much the size of CCleaner. If i needed this method of cleaning i would use eraser. Just my opinion though.
  12. I'm sure it does but does it uninstall the software normally then run a check for left behind registry entries and files and folders say like your uninstaller does???
  13. I use CCleaners built in one to. But as they say themselves it is not the best. I will give the other one a try though
  14. I have always used registry mechanic, and then started using glarys, but i have just seen some bad reports on glary so tempted to not use it. So what is the best? Thanks
  15. Has any one tryed this yet?
  16. Firstly i checked advanced section and ther eis no custome files and folders' i am running latest version, always do I just created a txt file. deleted then tryed recova, and no it didnt find it. so my problem is now, why when i use recova to recover files. then redelete them is it still finding them? Is it something to do with the trace thATS already been left is still there. and it recovers the file. and even if that files deleted the previous trace is still there?
  17. This is getting even worse, i go to tools/include and add a folder in it, with a few test pictures to see if it is working or not, when pc powers up i get an animateed CCleaner icon in system tray, showing activity. go to the folder and its still there with its contence :/ im running latest version
  18. Hello, yes these are all pictures (regular) I delete them to recycle bin then wipe with CCleaner? should the folder be added to CCleaner?
  19. Hi, i dont use IE, i use firefox, (even though my sister uses IE and i did wonder what all the internet pictures that iv never saved where doing there.) but that check box was still unchecke din IE any way. These files are picture files. My dad designsCustom bulkheads for offices and lots more. We are selling this computer and he does not want his private information still on the computer. But i can still recover these files. I'm thinking dBan?
  20. I have been using 35 passes to delete some files on my computer, Then i use recova to see if any can be recovered and every time they can be. I thought there was no way possible for them to be recovered? os is windows xp i run anti virus dr web, avg 7.5 and superantispyware
