Hello there, I have a program at work I use that is run through the command prompt, and this program displays some plots/graphs in the full screen of the computer. Once the program is completed, the command prompt is stuck in full screen mode. Is there anyway to get it to go back to normal window display mode after you enter full screen mode. currently we have to use the windows key to get out, then go in and manually select that we want the window display. Thankx a lot for any help. also, changing the program itself is not an option since it is proprietary software...and also of note, this only effects winXP versions, works normal on win98. thankx

thankx for the suggestions, i think i will post to the foxit form, it doesn't seem like it would be too big an issue adding it to their next release. as for the mouse, i think i know what you mean, but its hard to set a good speed, and more importantly, when i use my lapper i don't have a mouse, not sure if that works without the actual mouse plugged in. i can't go to the site and check bc i don't recall where it was, too many to check, thankx again, the search will continue

howdy all, I've been doing a lot of reading of lengthy PDF's recently for school, and for the first time, i went to this one website and the whole body, about 10 screens worth, was set up with this kind of autoscroll feature where the page automatically scrolls down at a constant speed. made reading the article a lot quicker and i didn't have to use the keyboard. I was wondering if you could suggest a program (freeware) that does this for PDF's and/or any other formats. I currently am using Foxit Reader Pro, and I will never switch to an adobe product after...is there any feature like this built into any Foxit products or can any of these secondary apps integrate or work within Foxit? thankx for the help, and now a quote for the ages: "The person who doesn't read books has no advantage over the person who cannot read them"

What are all these 'disks' everyone is talking about, didn't you hear, vinyl's out, 8-tracks are in, come on people, I thought you were all with the times?

are you running a tweat through desktop powertoys, i used it once before for the 4 desktops in one, its pretty usefull if you enjoy watching 4 movies/shows at once (which i sometimes do) but you need a big monitor to make it worthwile, not a 12.1 lapper. If it isn't the powertoys addon then i should look into this, r u running XP or Vista?

what i wouldn't have given to look like the man in the yellow hat...oddly enough, the first time i did it it came up with Carson Daly, but the second time i did a pic with my cowboy hat on and all the results had different types of hats on...even Jozeph Stalin...then i did one with a beard and all the results had beards...wonder how that program works?

I believe my record is around 40 hrs, but friends from first year (university) have a little competition going...i think the current record is around 65 hrs, and it doesn't count if you're not being productive most of the time, lots of peops come close around exam time

Whats wrong with MSN? talk to some buddies, send some pics, get blasted by random viral msges...come on, there are a lot worse msging services out there...that being said, how could Norton not be on there? not only does it suck, take up huge resorces, and fight with everything else on the computer, but its about the hardest thing I've come across to completely unistall...again I suppose it catters to the n00bs. Also, I agree Dell service sucks for the most part, but every once in a while you can call, get a guy who actually speaks english, and he'll hook-you-up through the roof with deals...worked for me at least on my last 3 lappers.

hello, i recently bought a textbook at school second hand, only to find out the solutions manual was not included but normally comes with the text when bought new. A friend of mine said he knew someone once who used a webcam to create a computer version of his texts in e-book or pdf format. is this possible to do and if so, how is it done. thankx. I am running winXP and the camera is a logitech laptop camera.

WOW! so here I am, all calm right before my final exam, doing some last minute studying in the library when i take a look at today's post. Whats this i c, i have a pretty steady mouse hand, so i take on the challenge. I have my headphones on as its a quite place of study, so i begin and soon realize i'm doing quite well, then all oh the sudden...AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA...well i rip out the earbuds as fast as i can, and while i'm screaming from the pain, the whaling continues...never before have i had an entire university library look at me at the same time...suffice to say the calm i had enjoyed previous to the exam was fully gone. luckily i had some soothing instrumental music to calm the nerves, and was able to pass the test. and i agree, level 5 is tough, definetly worth a try to anyone out there who hasn't experienced this yet...

I recently discovered what i could only speculate is some kind of glitch in interactive player. I bought the HP4 movie and when to view some of the DVD-Rom features on the disc, but it said I had to install Interactive Player to view the content. at the same time, i have a VIDEO_TS folder for another movie on my hardrive. After installing the player, every time i went to open it, the welcome screen for the other movie would come up and i was able to watch the movie as if it were a dvd in my disc drive. any suggestions on why this would happen are welcomed.

the only time i ever catch it here in Canada is by mistake on Sunday mornings, always fun to take in, the best part about it is how much the tv screen looks like all those video games, much more accurate than any other type of racing games.

holla, r u looking to hack the boot screen so it can be of your own design? seems like all these people here are giving you advice how to recover your old one? If i'm correct, then do a google search for hacking boot screens or the like there of and you will likely find a whole bunch of tutorials on how to do it, along with links to programs that will help you along the way. I have a word doc on me with all the steps, but i don't recall exactly where i got them from, its a compilatiion of different fun hacks for winXP, so if you look and don't find anything, msg back here and i'll post the steps for the hack (its not that i'm lazy and don't want to do it, but you'll find some nice websites that will walk you through it with pics and all) goodluck and enjoy

well if anyone thinks they might know what is causing this could you please post suggestions. its not urgent so i will check back occasionally to see if there are any updates.

the plot thickens, no i cannot resize it any larger than the max six. i started it up, went out of maximize, then resized it to full screen by dragging the corner (just for clarification on what i did), and it wouldn't let me make it any bigger than the max sized one...how curious?
