  1. 1) Through the websites "Remember my login" option, it's stored as a cookie. Try deleting the cookies: Cleaner > Windows > Internet Explorer > Cookies Flash Cookies: Cleaner > Applications > Multi Media > Adobe Flash Player Through the built-in feature of the browser, it's stored encrypted in the registry. Try clearing the boxes at login. 2) Vista: OS(C:) > Users > (Name) > AppData > Roaming > Macromedia > FlashPlayer > Shared Objects > 9D54GCBJ Bold file name is different on your computer. OS(C:) > Users > (Name) > AppData > Roaming > Macromedia > FlashPlayer > Macromedia Flash > Support > FlashPlayer > Sys When updating CCleaner to a later version, just install over the previous version to save settings. You can also save your settings to an INI file. http://docs.piriform.com/ccleaner/ccleaner...vanced-settings
  2. Hello Victor Max, and welcome to Pirifom Forums. For the users with admin accounts, you could use Vista's Task Scheduler to set up CCleaner to run at log on or startup. The following link is how I set up Erunt to run at startup without a prompt from UAC. http://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showto...mp;#entry125029 Good Luck.
  3. Hi andytw, and welcome. If checked, you should clear any boxes in the Cleaner > Windows > Advanced section.
  4. Hi yardvark, and welcome. When I analyze and then run the Cleaner on my Vista system, it does the same thing as yours. C:\Windows\system32\wbem\Logs\WMITracing.log 16.0MB If your looking for a reason why this happens, I don't have an answer. I've run the cleaner twice and see Thumbnail Cache cleaned on the second run. As long as my systems junk files are cleaned out I'm happy.
  5. Passwords and logins are also saved as Adobe and Macromedia Flash Cookies. Cleaner > Applications > Multimedia > Adobe Flash Player

Hello ChrisR, and welcome to the forum. You could do a search for *.reg* This should find any Type: Registration Entries files on your computer.
  9. A user could secure delete all files that have been deleted using the normal file deletion method. Good to know.
  10. Can or should Recuva be used to secure delete everything it finds in one action? I Scan OS (C:) Drive. (View mode > Thumbnails view) Right - click > Highlight Folder > C:\ ( All files are highlighted) Right - click > Secure Delete Highlighted I then get the following: Secure delete message. Are you sure you want to delete these 3247 file(s)? Clicking Yes will mean they are gone forever. This would be handy if you deleted something and then wanted to secure delete it. You wouldn't have to look for it in the results. Good idea or bad?

  13. Link to: Automatically Backup Your Windows Vista Registry Daily Using ERUNT When I installed ERUNT I got the UAC pop up, so I removed the startup item AUTOBACK from the Startup folder. I did manual backups when I remembered too, until today. The only thing I added was the command line switch /days:3 at the end of the Add arguments (optional) text box. %SystemRoot%\ERDNT\AutoBackup\#Date# sysreg otherusers /noconfirmdelete /noprogresswindow /days:3 ERUNT AUTOBACK is set for 30 days which is to many for me. I also cleared all boxes under conditions.
  14. I moved my post to a new topic in Software.

  17. This one gives you the Genre Stations after three songs. It says US only and needs Flash Player. http://pandora.com/
  18. I use Yahoo which uses SearchScanBETA powered by McAfee. Example: http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=freeze.co...-8&fr=b2ie7
  19. Hello mtartini, welcome to the forum. Unfortunately you can't get back the cookies that were deleted. If you use CCleaner on her computer in the future, move the cookies you want to save over to the keep side before cleaning. Options > Cookies Or just clear the cookies box for whatever browser she uses. Some cookies are saved as flash cookies, so you may want to clear the box for Adobe Flash Player. Cleaner > Applications > Multi Media > Adobe Flash Player Good Luck
  20. You can create a shortcut. I made mine by right clicking on the desktop > New > Shortcut. Copy and Paste in location: "C:\Program Files\CCleaner\CCleaner.exe" /AUTO Name it CCleaner Auto. CCleaner will run flashing in the tray. I close my browser and all running apps. (excluding firewall, antivirus...) then I let CCleaner do its job before resuming any work.

  22. I like the idea of McAfee's SiteAdviser, but I don't really want to install it. So I just check sites when I feel the need to. http://www.siteadvisor.com/analysis/
