  1. I always go to the builds page and download (save) the slim version to the desktop. No need to uninstall the old version, just install the new version over the top of the old. Just take your time and read the few choices you have, and before you know it your done. You should look at the changes made to the new version and read the CCleaner documentation. (see link below)
  2. If you want to manually delete the file(s). First you must show hidden files and folders. OS(C:) Under Tools -> Folder Option -> View -> Show hidden files and folders then click OK. C:\Documents and Settings\{username}\Application Data\Macromedia\Flash Player\#SharedObjects\{Randomword} C:\Documents and Settings\{username}\Application Data\Macromedia\Flash Player\macromedia.com\support\flashplayer\sys Look for The file(s) in both locations and delete. Restore: Do not show hidden files and folders then click OK.

    Folder View

The only time I've seen a Windows explorer view is when I'm including or excluding files and folders.
  4. What operating system and browser(s) are you using?
  5. In CCleaner click on the cookie to delete and look at the bottom of the screen to see the browser and or if it's a flash cookie.
  6. Hi SkyWired, and welcome to the forum. The site uses Flash Player. Do you have the box checked for Adobe Flash Player? Cleaner -> Applications -> Multi Media -> Adobe Flash Player.
  7. Hi felixxx99, and welcome to the forum. You can play the game and then save the cookies. Options -> Cookies -> Cookies to Delete -> Cookies to keep. Alternately, you can clear the box for Adobe Flash Player. Cleaner -> Applications -> Multi Media -> Adobe Flash Player. I hope the links you've posted aren't spam for the game. I only say this because this is your first post here and the game is for sale.

Hi hhara, and welcome to the forum. In the Cleaner section you can do the following. Right click on a blank space of results and view detailed results for all files. Alternately, you can double click or right click a single line to view that lines detailed results only. In Tools -> Uninstall the publisher, install date and file size are shown in Vista and Windows 7.
  9. Hi Crapaholic, and welcome to the forum. With each release, there are bug fixes, new features and updates for programs. Have a look here for a full version history. This is a good reason to update to the latest version.
  10. If you right click on a blank space of the results field, it will also save all entries.
  11. Hi mathfriend, and welcome to the forum. Right click results and save to text file.
  12. The front page of the docs. site for CCleaner under FAQ. Maybe this topic should be moved to CCleaner bug reporting.
  13. CCleaner looks for Adobe Flash Player here: HKCR\CLSID\{D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000}
  14. If you use a download manager and pause the download, the file can become corrupted since it's updated often. It has been reported that problems installing happen without a download manager. You can check here for the latest VDF Update Version with a link for download and QA Realtime Status. Look in the lower right hand corner of the page.
  15. Manual updates 28.6 MB that are no problem to download. Auto updates 7.2 MB on this large release that are impossible to download. Sounds like they should put the manual server on the job. No problem here from a long time Avira free AV fan.

    User error?

Hi olddog, did IE8 crash last night with your last browsing session? A crash is the only time I'm asked about restoring a session. Your last browsing session closed unexpectedly. -> Restore your last session. -> Go to your home page. If you have a crash, you might want to open IE8 and restore your last session before running CCleaner at the end of the day. I recommend closing IE before running CCleaner. Alternately, you could disable automatic crash recovery. Open IE8 and go to Tools -> Internet Options -> Advanced -> Browsing -> Clear the box for "Enable automatic crash recovery" Click OK. Takes effect after you restart IE8. I noticed some old recovery .dat files in the active folder, so I have added this folder to my include list in CCleaner as well. When IE is open the recovery files are in the active folder and move to the last active folder when IE is closed. Apparently, this doesn't always happen due to the fact that I had old files in the active folder. This might be where IE came up with some old pages as you stated in your first post. Recuva v1.31

Thank you for your hard work and dedication toward improving your software.
  18. @DennisD Now that's what I call putting your back into it!
  19. @Alan_B I understand that you want to compare two different versions of CCleaner side by side. This is what I was referring to. @All members I have found that if you have CCleaner /Auto as a quick launch and accidentally double click, you will have two instances of the same .exe cleaning simultaneously. Could this have negative consequences?
  20. @molly003 I think clicking on your spam link might be of risk or threat. Spammer be gone!
  21. Write the code in so only one instance of CCleaner can be running at any given time.
  22. Please keep your posting to your thread as it will get confusing. You could download the Adobe Flash Player uninstaller: Here Then reinstall Adobe Flash Player: Here

    name change?

CCleaner is the only name I've known and prefer. As a matter of fact, I originally thought the C stood for C: Drive.
