  1. It's always best to include the operating system info.
  2. I'm using CCleaner 2.01.507 on a Toshiba M115-S3094 laptop with Windows Vista Home Edition (upgraded from Windows XP). Several months ago I experienced some kind of software problem, and Windows Vista Online Help instructed me to download a new version of the Toshiba Value Added Package. Bad move! It sent me to a link that downloaded the Windows XP version of the software. Well it installed alright (I didn't know that the version was incorrect - yet), but after I rebooted I was promptly greeted by a popup message informing me that the Toshiba Power Saver feature could not start. I proceeded to open the Control Panel, click on the Programs and Features icon and run the uninstaller for the Toshiba Value Added Package. After several seconds I was informed that the uninstaller was for a version of Windows that was incompatible with Vista. Oh, NO! It was obviously for Windows XP! Well, I said, why not download the Vista version installer from Toshiba and install it over the incorrect version? Made sense, right? I downloaded the Vista Version of the installer, saved it, and then ran it. My heart sank when I was informed that it would not install so long as the present version (as in XP) was installed. Several months went by, and just a half hour ago while running CCleaner, I noticed the Uninstall feature under Tools. Would it work? I started the uninstall from CCleaner and guess what? The XP version of the Toshiba Value Added Package uninstalled. Smiling broadly, I ran the Vista version of the installer. I couldn't believe it! It installed! Yes, the Toshiba Power Saver feature has returned!
