  2. Hello to everyone who is reading this

There is alot of IP hiding programs out there and almost all of them are not for free. ( I couldn't find a free one and boy did i search )

Ip hiding programs are good for school, bypass internet filters so you can freely browse the net or is good at work so your boss cant see what your doing.

Or if you just want privacy which im sure all of us do

And since Piriform's programs are free im wondering if the next program they make is a IP hider which makes it look like your using a fake IP

To my opinion lots of people would download it and since its free it would be very popular.

Please comment on my suggestion and leave your thoughts

Not hard to find I get back free to.

  3. That would be real hard as it would be just as hard to remove Explore.exe as IEexplore.exe because they are the foundation of Windows.

If you meant IE usage would be non existent in short order then that statement might make a bit more sense.

dogkill Because it's XP-specific and doesn't fit anywhere else, here is my Dog Destroyer for Windows XP (also kills Zip folders). Run it, and bye bye Search Dog. This isn't a Registry hack. This is permanent. (Source)

& XP Lite & the end of IE not take long to take it out. I did not say to do it,if you do nLite is best.

  4. Yes, it always has been.

firefox 3 is supposed to fix the memory leaks but they've been saying that since 1.0.

    http://www.computerworld.com/action/articl...ticleId=9068642

Firefox 3.0 Beta 4 uses less memory than IE7, Opera 9.5 Beta 1 and Firefox 2.0.0.12 while it opens multiple pages. Just as importantly, the newest beta of Firefox 3 does a much better job reclaiming memory when tabs are closed than its predecessor, Firefox 2.0.0.12.

  5. Attachments

  6. A few minutes before, I had 26.6 gigs of free space left. A few minutes later, my free space was 26.3 gigs. What happened? (Note: I cancelled an installation of .NET Framework 3.0 at that time because it froze.) I restarted my computer and it's still this way. What's the problem?

see my post [ Harddrive got full ] no one can tell way this happened to you.

  7. Well that's something new! I'm might try that FF "hack" though it isn't actually a hack.

I agree with your comments on the Memory Management process.

What I recommend to enhance your Windows experience is to de-activate any useless "Startup program" or "Service".

Good links to find more on these points are:

And, if you need a RAM Optimizer (because you run Windows 95/98/ME), you can use this little one.

It has a very small memory footprint.

Vista, he said, won't make much difference to the webscape. While it is more secure than XP, there are, currently, few

third-party companies producing protection for Vista. XP may be leakier but there are at least lots of companies trying to

    plug its holes.

    Don't do it. :(:(

you can test it for me & let me know if test ok not like to be the crash test & crash my P.C. & I think it come with spyware.

[PS] MS Retail Management Systems. that may be me how do you tell.

  13. I installed AVG AV 8.0 in one machine and find it to be a resource hog. That wouldn't be so bad but now you can't disable components you don't want to use. If you do you get the warning message in the main program and in the system tray. In 7.5 you could choose to ignore the warning if you disabled a component and every thing was fine. Now you do not have the option to ignore it. Funny thing is in the built in help file (not the one from the web site) it says you can set AVG 8.0 to ignore the disabled component and tells you how. Guess what that is a mistake in the help guide because it's a feature only available in the paid version. I asked on their forum  Also you have have to jump through hoops if you want to install without the Link Scanner.

I really don't like AVG 8.0 at all. It got up to over 70 MB of RAM. Thats pushing Norton territory. What a disgrace. Go from one of the lowest resource users to a hog. When they started hijacking my browser with pop ups it was clear that there was a change in thinking/policy at AVG and I had my doubts about how AVG 8.0 would turn out.

not right info Please software like spyware software firewall, Link Scaner is good 6 MB ok, have you got Ad-aware?

  14. And should you uninstall the program without emptying the quarantine, no kill off be for you take off to be safe, some will kill off for you some leave in folder may be new name like add ver to end of name.

How to fix the Firefox memory leak

    * Fixed

    Things That are Not Leaks

Firefox Memory Usage Doesn't Always Go Down

This is generally not an issue, and does not represent a memory leak. Why? When Firefox is finished with memory, it releases

it to its heap. However, operating system reports this memory as being in use, even though Firefox is not using it for

anything. A common symptom of this is the amount of memory used by Firefox going up, but not coming down - instead staying

    constant.
