  1. Hi. Long time user of CCleaner and I downloaded the latest update last night. V3.11.1550 64 Bit. Immediately after running the cleaner (with the same settings I always use - no previous problem like this) I opened Firefox V6.0.2 to check a website and the page format was all broken. Checked a good few more sites that I usually browse and they were broken too yet worked perfectly fine in IE9. Bizarrely or a bit of good luck this site is working fine in Firefox. The settings I use in the Firefox/Mozilla section in CCleaner are, Internet cache and internet history download history and session are all checked. I've rebooted a couple of times since running CCleaner and keep going back to these websites like the BBC but they're still broken with pictures all over the place and the websites links in a big scrollable list yet they work fine in IE9. Windows 7 home premium. TIA
  2. Hi, CCleaner has started to freeze while cleaning. It gets to 28% and seems to be stuck on this file.. C:\Windows\setupapi.log
  3. Just an observation but if it was the CCleaner .exe from Filehippo that was to 'blame' then wouldn't everyone who uses CCleaner be having this problem? If Virut does infect .exe files on a PC then this could explain why only a few CCleaner users are experiencing this. I'm not having any problems here and downloaded, installed and ran CCleaner from the Filehippo site to see.
  4. The thread has a new post with a link however clicking the link gives this. Failed to Connect The connection was refused when attempting to contact 72.52.220.109:81. Though the site seems valid, the browser was unable to establish a connection. * Could the site be temporarily unavailable? Try again later. * Are you unable to browse other sites? Check the computer's network connection. * Is your computer or network protected by a firewall or proxy? Incorrect settings can interfere with Web browsing. If I download the Winapp file will it have this update? Thanks
  5. Hi. Long time CCleaner user but I'm wondering if recuva can help me. I just noticed today one of my partitions has gone from 'My Computer.' It shows up in Disk Management as 'Free Space' with no drive letter to go with it. This partition was nearly full of data and was there only a few days ago. The only cause I can think of was a BSOD a couple of days ago and me having to boot into 'last known good configuration'. The partition itself is not on the boot disk. Will recuva help here? Thanks
