Malware Bytes is a good program, I use it and I've never had a problem.

I'm kind of confused on what it actually does. So could someone explain?

I've heard that disabling System Restore on Windows XP, really increases system performance. So should I disable it?

When I was looking through the programs on my computer in Uninstall manager, I noticed that I had 2 Spybots installed. One says: Spybot S&D The other says: Spybot S&D 1.5.2.20 Should I uninstall one? And if I should, which one should I uninstall?

I really don't know anything about giveawayoftheday because I don't trust online websites giving away software for free that is supposed to be bought. So I've never downloaded anything from them

Thanks for the help, everyone! I got my Spyware Blaster working again by unimmunizing Spybot and then enabling Spyware Blaster and then immunizing Spybot again.

One of my favorite security programs is getting terminated whenever I click on enable all protection. An error message comes up saying: Error: Access violation at 0x005F71FC (tried to read from 0x067B038C), program terminated. I've never had this problem before and I've tried reinstalling. Please help, I can't do without Spyware Blasters protection!

I'm a lvl 2 defragger, I'm kinda crazy about keeping my PC in tip-top shape. Auslogics Diskdefrag is a really good (and free) defragging program. Doesn't take up space or memory, very user-friendly too.

Hello everyone! I have some freeware recommendations, if they haven't been posted here already. Auslogics Disk Defrag: It's a great program at defragging your computer and I've used it a lot with out any problems. Very user-friendly too. Auslogics Registry Defrag: Unlike some registry cleaning/defragging programs, Auslogics Registry Defrag doesn't screw up your computer. A quick reboot is all you need. It's great and I've used it for some time without any problems. Very user-friendly too.

Just in case people want to know of some good computer optimizing programs, I 100% recommend Auslogics. It's totally awesome and it works. They have 2 free products, Auslogics Disk Defrag and Auslogics Registry Defrag. I used both lots of times and never had a problem.

My parents don't have a firewall and they're aren't exactly computer experts so does anyone here know of a free, non-intrusive (without pop-ups about different stuff, like settings etc.), good firewall I could install on my parents' computers?

Any other suggestions? If not then i'll repair...

Does SpywareGuard work alongside with McAfee OAS?

I'm using FF 3 Beta 3 right now and the theme sucks. Also you can move the home button back to where it originally was. But despite the theme, it's really good, especially the security. Theres new features too.
