  1. Yea the same thing has been happening to me. I have to click add reply and then click on Piriform home and then the reply is there but if I click on Add Reply 2 times, it double posts. EDIT: Now there's a cursor somewhere in the forums except for when you're posting. I just noticed it now. The forums have been acting kinda freaky lately.
  2. I recommend PCTools Anti-Virus (this alternative isn't that popular as Avast! or Avira but it's still good) It's really, really low on system resources and very user-friendly!
  3. Test your computer and post your results, like weather you passed the test or not. Link: Clicky
  4. Are there any good low mem cost free anti-virus programs other than AVG?
  5. EDIT: Nvm, please a mod delete this topic. I got my question already answered!
  6. Is it? I went on their website and it was showing this graph about how ThreatFire detects more viruses than specific anti-viruses.
  7. I've switched from McAfee to Avast! now. Now I've switched from Avast! to PCTools Antivirus
  8. Thanks for the help Andavari and Anthony. Also, in avast! I noticed that it seems to be slowing down the loading of web pages... Is it because of the Web Shield?
  9. Hey Andavari, I have a question. How did you make the bar with the Minimize, Maximize and Close button so small? Mine is like 3 times that size. Could you please tell me how you do it?
  10. Ok thanks Andavari! I've just switched to Avast! and I'm liking it a whole lot so far.
  11. Ok everyone, I've just dumped McAfee. And I've switched to avast! and so far it's working very well for me and it's using less memory than McAfee too!
  12. I have McAfee on my computer and its 448 MB of RAM. Now I've switched to Opera and I'm probably going to dump McAfee too.
  13. Oh they do that? I always thought that you had to schedule them to scan sometime and that they wouldn't scan in the background.
  14. I have McAfee Virus-Scan Console right now and once the subscription runs out, I need another free live-scanning anti-virus programs. By live scanning I mean it keeps scanning your computer while you work in the background so it finds viruses right after it enters your computer.
  15. So I added a BBC International News Feed to the Opera feed part. The problem is, I accidentally double clicked on the Feed icon and now there are two of the same feed on the Feeds menu and when you go to the Feeds remove part, there's only an option to remove only one feed. I tried reinstalling and everything but it wouldn't go away! Please help, it's a really annoying problem! Please help someone I really need some help with this problem!
  16. Thats still almost 2 times the memory Opera uses with 16 tabs open. Opera used only about 50 mb memory while my FF used 100mb+. I use Firefox and Opera though, Firefox for the addons and Opera for the speed, reliability, and others.
  17. Hello Davey, I tried out Mem Info and so far it's been working great! It kind of returns leaked memory too. Icedrake
  18. How much mem is Firefox using right now? Do you have more than 1 tab open?
  19. The new beta actually doesn't do anything about the memory leaks. It does improve Firefox overall but it doesn't deal with the memory leak issue. I hope they fix it before the final release of FF3.
  20. I'm using Opera right now, because it's not a memory hog and it almost uses 2 times less memory than when I used FF. Also it loads web pages and everything mega fast. Faster than FF too!
  21. This topic is not exactly which browser is better, but why you like it.
  22. Thanks, and Dennis, I got MPlayer to work! It plays everything! Pretty amazing! Ok, I'm a little bit too excited now... Getting everything the way I wanted took some time though. MPlayer is well worth the download.
  23. EDIT: Which browser do you like the best, and why you think that. Give some reasons. If you're using a different browser than the 5 above, you can tell why you like that browser.
  24. Umm?? Anyway, I don't exactly see an option to clear History on exit in Opera 9.5 Beta 2
