  1. I'd never thought I'd do this, but I've actually started to use IE now. I uninstalled FF Beta 11 and switched to IE9. It definitely works faster than FF Beta 11. Interface looks nice and minimalistic, and everything is working great. Now if only there was some sort of css style fixer that would remove the gaping holes that the MVPS hosts file leaves on websites with ads.
  2. I apologise for the double post, but I just had to ask this question about "Simple Adblock". What does this mean: That's quoted from the website of Simple Adblock itself--does that 100 limit mean that Simple Adblock will only block 100 ads per day if you're using the free version? Because that just seems stupid if that is the case.
  3. In fact, it is definitely noticeably faster than Firefox. I ran a Peacekeeper test with the latest versions of both browsers, and these were the results (very startling): Firefox 4 Beta 11: 2870. Internet Explorer 9 RC1: 3357. That's an impressive improvement over Firefox. Here's a set of result screenshots: I don't know about you guys, but these results are quite convincing.

    FF4 b11

Correction: Testing this out right now, blazing fast. Good work FX (this just doesn't feel right).

  6. Thanks. I'm tending to shy away from that specific UXTheme Patcher, because if you read the comments section... many, many people are having problems with it, and the creator hasn't fixed the bugs yet. In the instructions that were on DeviantART for the Blend 2.0 theme, it said to take ownership of some system file and replace it with a system file from the theme... does not doing that affect the theme in any way, like change its appearance or anything like that?
  7. Nice desktops as usual Mr.Brownstone. I'm wondering, how do you install new visual styles in Windows 7? It was very easy in Windows XP, but it seems much more complicated in Windows 7, with a lot more system file replacing to do. More specifically, how do you install the Blend 2.0 theme? The instructions on the DeviantART page of the theme don't help much.
  8. Kerem Beyit is one hell of an amazing artist. That's all I can say, I've got quite a few backgrounds from him.
  9. However, I would be surprised if this movie gained a lot of money. Maybe enough to fit in a wheelbarrow?
  10. This thread is entertaining in all its entirety.
  11. We most certainly are unretired at this time.
  12. This is one funny tread. Aw, shucks, I spelled thread wrong! Anyway, once a director comes up with such anti-realistic ideas as a tire with telepathic powers, I think its time for them to retire.
  13. How ironic that a tire should be getting so much attention. It's the same thing as satire. In my opinion, the fact that the tire has no decent attire makes it a worthless tire.
  14. A movie about a killer tire with telepathic powers (sounds like this guy needs to get a grip)? Might sound tiresome to you, but it's going to be in theaters soon. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1612774/ This might have some traction in sales, but most likely it will get rolled over. No more lame tire puns now.
  15. Me too. The ALDI store just recently opened in my area, and all of their food seems to be of high quality.
  16. What type of cheese? I like provelon, or however you spell it. Sorry to go so off topic.
  17. I'm just wondering Mr.Brownstone, but are you using a Dual Boot system with Ubuntu?
  18. I'm confused as to what you are trying to prove. Your quote seems to suggest that you are saying global warming isn't caused by humans, and your links seem to suggest that global warming doesn't exist at all (the second link makes some rather extravagant claims which then it debunks; I wonder if the website purposely came up with those questions)? Now, here are some links from my research: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/41393090/ns/technology_and_science-science/ http://earthobservatory.nasa.gov/Features/GlobalWarming/ http://earthobservatory.nasa.gov/Features/GlobalWarming/page3.php http://earthobservatory.nasa.gov/Features/GlobalWarming/page4.php http://www.nwf.org/global-warming.aspx With the quote in my previous post: I'm not trying to say that global warming is entirely the fault of humans, I'm just saying that humans have contributed to it. As to the next ice age issue; global warming will probably stop in a few hundred years, and the next ice age is supposed to come in a few thousand years.

  20. What people have to realize is that global warming isn't just something that suddenly occurs in a day or two and causes huge noticeable effects instantly. It gradually occurs over the years, and though Earth's natural climatic shifts still occur, the gradual temperature increase will increase the temperature of the lowest of the climatic shifts ever so slightly as time passes and we still continue to pollute the world.
  21. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! Not the chocolate!
  22. I believe all this snow may be a result of global warming. Why? Simply put: As temperature rises throughout the world, more water will evaporate and turn into water vapor. Then, when this water vapor reaches land, it forms even bigger storms than usual, combining with what's already there. And yes, I've been getting feet of snow in MA too.
  23. Have you tried clearing your AutoComplete forms in IE? That seems to be the problem according to a bunch of sites I found if you look up on Google: item won't delete from history
  24. Unfortunately, yes. Some people just buy whatever they see on TV.
  25. Thanks Capman, it worked perfectly. I knew I was trying to be too technical, didn't realize it was that simple.
