Hello Peter
Have a read of this

The command line parameters section will be of interest to you

Makes an interesting read Humpty. After all we're used to individuals not wanting to upgrade....used to what they've got...don't want the hassel etc., but whole organizations and firms, well that's alarm bells for Microsoft.
Don't think they will even hear them, do you?

It's always a bit worrying when you first use new software isn't it?
Fortunately CCleaner, when you do an "issues" scan and decide to fix, offers you the option of making a backup which you can save in "my documents" Then in the unlikely event of something going wrong, you just right-click on the backup reg file and choose merge. I personally have never had anything go wrong.
Lots more info here

A little video for each job you want to do, such as installing a dvd drive, installing a second hard drive. This may help give a better idea if you aren't quite sure.
There are 99 in total.

Hello Seleur
When you do an issues clean you are offered the choice of saving a backup of the reg entries you are deleting.
More info can be found by reading this

Call back if you have any more questions.

Here's a page you might like to read incy. It also answers one of your questions (look under... "why can't I delete messages inside OE" )

Can I just clear up something Scot, Andy is asking you to post the log on our forum here on CCleaner in the hijackthis
section here under "new topic"
-
Have you tried uninstalling in safe mode?
Also a bit of reading for you
-
I wonder if it's possible to put the hjt log zip on a usb drive, unzip it in there, and drag and drop the file onto your desktop, just to see if it's even possible it will allow you to run it.
-
No problem
Read the instructions here and the download button for the hjt log program is at the bottom.
http://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=1720
This is the part of the forum where to post the log, the new topic button is at the top right hand side.
http://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showforum=12
Any problems, just ask someone will always help if you have problems doing it.
-
You could always post a hjt log in the section for it on the forum, just to clear up that possibility.
-
It is unfortunate that microsoft chose to keep those files where it does. The very nature of CCleaner means they will be cleaned each time.
Did you try that idea of making them read only?
Have you just installed MSVDM as you say you haven't had a problem until now.
By the way, welcome to the forum
