  1. I've been running CCleaner since version 1.31. I never had a single problem until version 1.40. Now, I find the same problem when running 1.41. Here's my computer setup... System Model Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2 (build 2600) Dell Computer Corporation Dimension XPS Enclosure Type: Mini-Tower Processor a Main Circuit Board b 2.80 gigahertz Intel Pentium 4 8 kilobyte primary memory cache 512 kilobyte secondary memory cache Board: Dell Computer Corp. 0F2905 Bus Clock: 800 megahertz BIOS: Dell Computer Corporation A02 07/21/2003 Drives Memory Modules c,d 283.93 Gigabytes Usable Hard Drive Capacity 143.94 Gigabytes Hard Drive Free Space _NEC DVD+RW ND-1100A [CD-ROM drive] LITEON DVD-ROM LTD163 [CD-ROM drive] 3.5" format removeable media [Floppy drive] Maxtor OneTouch II USB Device [Hard drive] (203.92 GB) -- drive 1 WDC WD800JD-55JRC0 [Hard drive] (80.02 GB) -- drive 0 2048 Megabytes Installed Memory I'm cleaning and shredding drives C: and F: (3 passes). F: is a Maxtor Hard Drive connected via a USB Port. CCleaner is installed on drive C:. In the middle of the operation I get the following error from the operating system.... CCleaner has encountered a problem and needs to close.... Please tell MicroSoft about this problem. The "error" data that's being sent to microsoft is as follows.... C:\DOCUME~1\owner\LOCALS~1\TEMP\WERfa8f.dir00\CCleaner.exe.mdmp C:\DOCUME~1\owner\LOCALS~1\TEMP\WERfa8f.dir00\appcompat.txt Like I said, all versions earlier than 1.40 worked perfectly.
