  1. Yes, it belongs to Realtek. But I don't know whether the file belongs in my Temp folder. Does it? Somewhere on the web I saw: "RtkBtMnt.EXE - File remaining from Realtek audio driver installation." Now I wonder if the file can be deleted or it should be transferred into the RealTek folder?
  2. I bought a new net-compuet and when I run the CCleaner (Windows) I get one file: C:\documents and settings\Bob Tiger\local settings\temp\RtkBtMnt.exe 0.20MB Everytime I "Run Cleaner" that file keeps returning. I cannot erase it. I looked in the C;\document and settings\bob tiger\ and there is no "Local Settings" there. Does anyone know what might be wrong here? (I do notice that RealTek is on the computer (Realtek HD Audio Manager) but I don't even know what it is and don't even know if I need it. My husband and I are new at this. Alice
  3. When I click on the "Check for Updates" in lower right of CCleaner, my Firefox opens first. Is there any way I can disable Firefox opening? I don't use Firefox; instead I use IE 7. Please advise and thank you. Alice
  4. I notice on my desktop (WinXP sp3; IE 7) when I go to check for updates, the IE 7 window opens first and then CCleaner checks for updates. However, when i do the same on my Vista notebook, the Mozilla Firefox window opens first and then CCleaner checks for updates. It also mentions something like: "We notice you are not using Firefox as your default browser. Would you like to make firefox your default browser?" How can I change the Vista CCleaner so that it opens IE 7, the same as my desktop? Please advise and thank you. Alice
  5. I downloaded a 'new' CCleaner on 11/26/08 = 2.14.750. However, I notice another 'new' CCleaner today which is also marked 214. What is happening please with two "ccsetup214_slim.exe" new downloads?
  6. Thanks all. So I can presume that the EVNLLAIZ was removed from my Vista after the download? Guess we'll never know why this happens on one machine (Vista; IE7) and not on the other (WinXP; IE6), which were both downloaded while IE was open; and one after the other.
  7. Never saw that before. Either on my WinXP or on this (new) Vista Premium. I have never heard of the "EVNLLAIZ," therefore, not my 'user account.' I save all my downloads to my "Downloads" folder and they all go directly there when I download them; that is why I question why this "EVNLLAIZ" 'double' download. Also, didn't see before when I downloaded previous version. Alice
  8. I downloaded the CCleaner Slim Build 2.11.636 today to my WinXP desktop with no problem. When I tried to download and install the CCleaner Slim Build 2.11.636 to my Vista Premium I see this pop-up (I downloaded the CCleaner Slim Build 2.11.636 today to my WinXP desktop with no problem. When I tried to download and install the CCleaner Slim Build 2.11.636 to my Vista Premium I see this pop-up (hope image will show below): Copying one item (846 KB) from Evnllaid (C:\...\EVNLLAIZ) to Downloads (C:\Downloads) Discovered 0 items (0 bytes).. (and green bar graph going from left to right) Why do I see this on my Vista notebook and not on my WinXP???? Is it OKAY to download/install??? can't attach photo here, or I would have). 9. Only thing I see: http://img185.imageshack.us/img185/5931/msofficeccbo4.jpg
  10. No, I do not use Microsoft Publisher; never did; don't even know what it is. They only thing I changed, as I said (prior to running the Registry scan with the new CCleaner 210) previoulsy, was that I installed SP3 for my WinXP. And the same 21 Registry items found on this desktop are the exactly same as the 21 Registry items foung on my notebook (both of them having SP3 recently installed).
  11. Looked at one of the files mentioned in my Registry (CCleaner) removals and it shows as: http://img179.imageshack.us/img179/8813/registrycctq2.jpg
  12. Thank you. Would you be kind enough as to tell me how I can locate these "HKCR\Interace" files on my coputer?
  13. Where would I look on my computer to find these "HKCR\Interface" files (mentioned in my CC Registry Scan), to see if they are 'empty?

    Registry backup

So, we don't have to do: "When you see the message box regarding Erunt running at Startup, click yes."

    Registry backup

Thanks. #1- Would the 'backups' keep building-up, or would one backup delete the previous backup? #2- And would the backup be put in the Erunt folder with that day's date?
  16. The 21 items I found after the Registry Scan with the NEW CCleaner 210, were found AFTER I installed SP3 on my WinXP desktop AND notebook. The same 21 exceptions found after the Registry Scan with the NEW CCleaner 210 were the same on both my desktop and notebook. The desktop and notebook each had the same 21 Registry exceptions. What do I do? Should I delete the 21 exceptions on the desktop and on the notebook? (My husband restored them last night.)

    Registry backup

Thanks very much. I didn't see anything about the following and wonder if you could take a moment to let me know if I am correct? #2- If we wanted Erunt to perform 'automatic' updates in the future, we would have to add it to the Scheduled Tasks (in WinXP). Is that correct? There is no place within Erunt that would have this feature (put check in a box)? If we wanted to do a Registry backup, we would open the Erunt program and do it from there - correct?

    SP3

Did you see the many registry items after the Registry Scan (with the new CCleaner 210) AFTER you installed the SP3? I looked at my desktop and my notebook and both of them show the same 21 Registry items after the Registry Scan with the NEW CCleaner 210 - after installing the SP3 on desktop and notebook. Do you remember if had about 21 items and if they were the same as mine?
  19. Sorry to say I am getting very confused. There have been quite a few postings following my original question. I had 21 exceptions after the Registry Scan in the newest CCleaner 210. All of them are: Registry Key - HKCR\Interface. I just wanted to know if it was OKAY that I deleted them, or should I restore them now? ANDAVARI: I notice that you said in one post that you found 33 exceptions and deleted them all. Were those 33 found after the Registry Scan (with the new 210 Cleaner)? And then in your last post you included about 100 files. Were they also found after the Registry Scan (with the new 210 Cleaner)? As I said, all my 21 exceptions, found after the Registry Scan (with the new 210 CCleaner), begin with: HKCR\Interface (in my image above). Should I reinstall them? I am a beginner and all of this is very confusing. Please help and explain so a beginner, like me, can understand. Thank you. Alice

    SP3

Has anyone else installed SP3 and seen the many Registry "exceptions after the Registry scan?"
  21. Would you please tell me which 'entries' you evaluated? Did you evaluate the (21 total) entries in my image (above)? Or were you referring to some other entries? Thank you. Alice
  22. Did you download and install the newest CCleaner upgrade/update? Did you also see the many 'new' items in the Registry Scan as I saw in mine (picture above)? I wonder if anyone else downloaded the new upgrade to CC (210) and saw these results after the Registry Scan (21 I believe)?

    Registry backup

Thanks very much. Since I am new at this, I am consdiering now whether to install Erunt, or not. Installing new programs really scare me. #1- When it is first loaded/installed does it automatically make a backup of the Registry? #2- If we wanted Erunt to perform 'automatic' updates in the future, we would have to add it to the Scheduled Tasks. Is that correct? There is no place within Erunt that would have this feature (put check in a box)? #3- Regarding the restore point disk allocation. I see C: and D: in my "System Restore." Do I have to do anything with the D: drive? (12% Max 525MB)
  24. Thank you. #1-So, I did nothing wrong by deleting them (and creating the backup)? #2-These additional entries found after the CC Registry Scan with the new 210 CC update just means that CC is checking for more items in the Registry now. Alice Here is copy of the entries that were found after the Registry Scan: #3- Does it look as though these are the additional files that CC found because of the "new registry cleaning features?" http://img177.imageshack.us/img177/5493/ccleaner73008do7.jpg (Sorry tor the many questions but I am new at this.)
  25. I just downloaded the newest CCleaner update 210 slim. I checked Registry prior to the download and there were no items mentioned. However, after the download I checked the Registry (in CCleaner) again and there were several items mentioned. Did anyone else notice the same thing? (I can post image of the Registry entries that were found.) I hope I did right by deleting all of them (saving backup file). Please advise as I am concerned about these Registry entries after the download/install of the new update for CCleaner. Alice
