ok... it have been a while since i last posted... i am busy with my project and it will be comming to an end soon... i have a question here... i am using Microsoft Office Word 2002 (in school) to write my report for my project... i have encounter a problem here... as u guys know, in a report, the pages coming before page 1 of the introduction use lowercase roman numerals... and pages beginning with page 1 of the introduction use with Arabic numerals... so how do i set the for example page 1 to page 3 is in roman numerals and page 3 to page x is Arabic numerals...? thanks...

it have been a long time... one time i would suggest is that better detection of progs... i found some apps entires under my CCleaner "Applications" tab that i never install... not now not in the past...

got something to do with cookies... so you are using internet explorer... you can either uncheck the checkbox for 'Cookies' under the 'Windows' tab under the 'Internet Explorer' category... this will prevent all cookies from been deleted... otherwise go to 'Options' -> 'Cookies' and choose the individual cookies you want to keep...

just right click and delete them... if you are talking about programs, uninstall them first... then delete the folder(s) that they left behind... if you are talking about startup program in the 'Startup', then you can either right click and delete them or disable them using a startup manager... CCleaner have its own startup manager... is under the 'Tools' section... otherwise, you can easily download one from the internet... an example of startup manager (which i am using also... is a freeware...) http://www.snapfiles.com/get/starter.html

i had tried the program in the past... there is something that prevent me from continue using it... i dont know why... i using Winamp all these while... i tried many media players... but keep going back to Winamp...

a simple rule is to set it to about 1.5x the amount of your RAM (that will be 768MB)... that will be good enough... but you can set it higher if you want to... a better way to optimize is to set your initial and the maximum size to the same (static)... that is 768MB for both inital and maximum... to further improve its performance, set the paging file to another physical HDD... NOT a partition of the boot disk... setting it to a partition of the boot disk will decrease the performance...

come on... CCleaner is not a registry cleaner... or maybe it main focus is not on cleaning the registry... at least for now... the registry cleaner in CCleaner do not detect many issues... but the issues found are safe to remove, whereas many other so call "registry cleaner" found a lot more issues but some are not safe to remove... of coz this function will be improve... i believe...

both zonealarm and norton are bloated... but the recent zonealarm paid version provide extra layer of protection and zonealarm GUI is much cleaner than norton... but overall both are good programs...
