  1. Uninstalled v5.74 and reinstalled v5.73 from your link and now the launch speed is back to normal. Will wait until the next update after v5.74 before I update again. Thanks for all your help.
  2. Hi nukecad, Checked that my McAfee LiveSafe is up to date using the method in the link you provided and every module of McAfee LiveSafe is up to date. I also made CCleaner an exception in the AV and again this made no difference to the loading speed. You say that rolling back to an earlier version of CCleaner may not help but I could try this to see if it does help in my case. You may be correct in saying that it could be something to do with a Windows Update, because the following two Windows Updates were installed after updating CCleaner Free to v5.74.8198 (64-bit):-
  3. Hi nukecad, Disconnected from wifi/internet and this made no difference. For information, the first time I run CCleaner after a reboot the loading is extremely slow, subsequent loadings are faster but not as fast as previous versions. I am running Windows 10 Version 20H2 for x64-based Systems, fully up to date with Windows Update. For internet security I am running McAfee LiveSafe.
  4. Latest version of CCleaner Free v5.74.8198 (64-bit) takes much longer to load than previous versions. Anyone else noticed this and is there a solution?
  5. Hi nukecad, Thanks for your help and assistance, will transfer them to cookies to keep to start and see how it goes.
  6. Hi nukecad, Thanks for your reply and the link, which I found very interesting. I very rarely log in to my google account and I don't think I have any kind of google content pre-loading. The tiles on my start menu that are 'Live' are:- Calendar Weather Photos Microsoft Edge WiFi Analyzer Speedtest Skype Groove Music Microsoft Store OneNote for Windows 10 Microsoft News Money Film & TV Facebook Solitaire HP Touchpoint Manager Mail Can I just transfer the 4 Google Chrome Cookies listed to 'Cookies to Keep' in 'Options' > 'Cookies' or
  7. If I run Custom Clean a number of times, one after another, the Advanced Report still shows:- Google Chrome - Cookies 0KB 4 files The log shows:- Cleaning Complete - (5.382 secs) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 0 bytes removed. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Advanced Report ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Google Chrome - Cookies 0 KB 4 files ----------------------------
  8. nukecad Thanks for your reply. Have made a note of your advice.
  9. Since the recent Feature update to Windows 10, version 1809, I have encountered the following issue when running the CCleaner Registry Cleaner:- Problem: Application Paths Issue Data: C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\ki126109.inf_amd64_db6a2d083f3ea368\igfxEM.exe Registry Key: HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\AppCompatFlags\Compatibility Assistant\Store After fixing the issue, unfortunately the same issue reappears after a reboot. Any help would be appreciated'
  10. Since the Anniversary Update To Windows 10 Home Version 1607 (OS Build 14393.10) (KB3176929) has been applied, every time I run CCleaner v5.20.5668 (64-bit), I get the following message box appear:- Microsoft Edge Cache Database and Internet Explorer needs to be closed to clean the Internet Cache. Do you want CCleaner to close Microsoft Edge Cache Database and Internet Explorer? There is a box to tick - Do not show me this message again. As I use Google Chrome and not Microsoft Edge or Internet Explorer why does this message box appear? I have read the article in FAQ
  11. Having the same problem with CCleaner 4.07.4369 (running under Windows XP Home SP3) not deleting chrome cookie macromedia.com even though both Internet Explorer and Google Chrome have Cookies ticked. For information, if I revert back to CCleaner 4.04.4197 then the chrome cookie macromedia.com is cleared. Look forward to this being resolved in future versions.
  12. Hi MrT For information, if I revert back to CCleaner 4.04.4197 then the chrome cookie macromedia.com is cleared. I note this is the last version before NVIDIA cleaning was introduced which may or may not be a coincidence. Look forward to this being resolved in future versions.
  13. When I click the cookie in CCleaner's cookies to remove/keep screen, the picture that is shown at the bottom of the screen is a Google Chrome symbol and a Flash symbol followed by macromedia.com Cookies are checked in both the Windows tab under the Internet Explorer heading and the Applications tab under the Google Chrome heading.
  14. Having the same problem with CCleaner 4.06.4324 (running under Windows XP Home SP3) not deleting cookie macromedia.com even though both Internet Explorer and Google Chrome have Cookies ticked. Any help to solve this problem would be appreciated.
  15. ishan_rulz, thanks for your reply. I have found the setting about files not being deleted unless they are older than 24 hours. All seems OK now.
