  1. Although there are lots of entries in the "Start" -> "run" list on my computer, ccleaner doesn't find them! It also doesn't find entries under: windows-explorer - recent documents advanced - menu order cache - window-size Why? I'm using Windows XP SP1 . But it also doesn't work on my laptop with Windows xp sp2, so it isn't related to the service pack 2 using version 1.28.277
  2. MSVBVM60.dll isn't a real problem, because it is on almost every computer... I don't have experience in visual basis, but isn't it possible to include the *.ocx files into the .exe file? Ok, Delphi is a possibility, but programs in delphi are always bigger than visual c++ or visual basic programs.
  3. Why not making this thread sticky and create a poll of it ?
  4. will there ever be a shortcut or entry in right-mouse menu to select/deselect all entries in the cleaner? It's so much clicking to select all groups... EDIT: Will it be possible to delete every item I want in the program-uninstall category ? I get a "cannot delete MSI installer" error if I want to delete an old "J2SE Runtime environment 5.0 Update 5" entry ! That's annoying! I thought delete entry means it just deletes entry from registry... and not deleting a installer...
  5. Please release a ccleaner-version as a single-file version without any installer! There are so many small tools on the market, who are made of a single file. Why not the small ccleaner? Reasons for that: - I hate installers, zip files are more functional - It's much easier to copy a single file to another computer than installing something - A single-file application is ideally for USB-Sticks! - fewer registry-keys added by ccleaner (BTW: Is a cleaner who writes a lot of registry entries really a cleaner? - and so on. If you like this idea, please agree!
  6. If I go to key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall , I see some empty, unnecessary keys which are left over from previous uninstallations. So these keys could and should be deleted! They also slow down the "Start" -> "Control" -> "Software" list... Just try it, you'll see it...
  7. Yes, I uninstalled it and after that I installed JRE 5.0 Update 6
  8. I can't remove an old J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 5 entry, because a message appears: "Cannot delete MSI installer." But I don't want to delete the installer, I only want to remove that entry... see this screenshot: Please fix that, thanks.
  9. please include a feature to optimize registry. This would speed up a lot of systems! like in NTREGOPT http://www.larshederer.homepage.t-online.de/erunt/ this writes all keys completely new, so that registry will be smaller.
  10. For portable usage on an usb-stick, it would be very great, if CCleaner would only consists of one file: CCleaner.exe So, isn't it possible to integrate the dll and ocx files in that directory into the exe file? That would make handling the program much easier. So I can very easy copy that single file to an usb-stick and use it on other computers (friends or somewhere else). Other small programs like : xp-antispy, pagedefrag ,... are in a single file, too. What do you think of that idea?
  11. the Option "only delete files in windows temp folders older than 48 hours" doesn't really work. If I select this option, CCleaner doesn't find any temp-files older than 48 hours - although there are some. But if I UNselect this option, CCleaner finds old temp-files older than 48 hours and I can delete them. So, something is wrong with this option !
  12. Hi, I have a feature request. When double-clicking on an issue in CCleaner, CCleaner should open regedit.exe at the position of that issue. That's very easy to implement, because starting of regedit.exe is easy and the start-position could be set anywhere in registry - but I don't find that key at the moment... Edit: Now I found it in: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Applets\Regedit Its the entry: "LastKey" So, I could better see what makes trouble and so on
