  1. Ol I've had IE7.0 in for a week or more. I was on a site the other day then I tried to get back on yesterday. I thought look in History for the link but I can't find the IE7 History button as you could with IE6. I right-clicked the the menubar tried to customise the buttons but I can't find anywhere its listed. I very rarely use the History as I used to have it set for 0 days but I increased that to 5 days before I installed IE7. Any suggestions?
  2. I've noticed that Andavari but I'm using Avast! Home Edition 4.8.1296 because I have the serial number. The 4.8.1351 is the new version out recently. I get the little green flag come up every time I startup saying there is a new version out, click to install. I'm wondering if I will have to regsiter and pay if I do that? So have you installed the newer version or are you still thinking about it?. If it saying "Restarting Windows is required" its abviously installed without you knowing.
  3. Yes I get a few of those when I do a Registry scan. ppi, ase, cin, cr2, crmlog, crw, crw, dmp, dng, exr, hdr, jsx, jsxbin, loaded, mnu, mos, mrw, orf, pbm, pdd, pef, psb, pxr, raf, shh, sta, tmp and x3f. I know were loaded came from so I'm not bothered about that one. They are probably apps you've had installed and when you uninstall them they were left behind in the registry. All these aren't common Windows file extensions so you can remove them all. Just make sure you make a backup of what it removed, just in case.
  4. Welcome to Piriform handerson. It depends were you downloaded CC from? If it wasn't CCleaner direct or FileHippo then I would surely be worried. Uninstall your version and download and install from either of these two sites. Then scan it with Trend Micro again.
  5. Ok I've changed back to Avast! Home Edition 4.8.1296 as I wasn't sure that ClamWin was scanning correctly. It kept says Trojan in a Setup.bat file. A batch file is just a set of DOS/cmd instructions it may execute a file to carry these out but I've edited the bat file and I can't see anything wrong. It did pick up on a Trojan in and old exe file I had but I never used it, its part of VB. Avast picked up on the same file but I told it to ignore. Anyway I've done a full scan with Avast its picked up a few Malware apps that ClamWin didn't even though these were in System Volume Information which I don't have access too. I'm happy at the moment. I think we need a new Poll making this is nearly 12 months old now.

    avast! 4.8

Ok I've joined the Avast forum and asked about this question. It appears you have to open Program Settings and in the Common section put a tick in Show results of Explorer Extension. Then you get a messagebox of the results.

    avast! 4.8

I've seen that option and told it where to make the report but it doesn't. I've add a quick read of VRDB (Virus Recovery Database) but there is no reference to the problems I've stated.

Yes I've just starting to use Avast again and thats something I miss repairing a file rather that deleting it. If it can't be repaired them fair enough. I had a Malware in one and it deleted it. I've had this file your years. I have a backup file. Another thing I hate is after it does a full scan you don't get a report it just closes.
  9. Yes I see it now. Its greyed out because I don't have it selected. When he was talking about Advanced I thought of Options/Advanced. Sorry Alan_B. P.S. I notice the pictures are showing now, thanks Admin.
  10. Tray Notifications Cache I don't see that in my Advanced options. In fact I don't remember seeing it in any version of CC that I've used.
  11. I don't like the way its implemented. You have to right-click on the results panel to select full results this puts a button on top allowing you to switch back to Summary view and then the button disappears. This button should be there all the time. Depending on which view is being shown the button caption should read Summary View or Full Results. It should also rememeber the last view used when CC closes. This is just programming logic. I've mensioned this in the main CC anouncements.
  12. Welcome to Piriforum ade. Now don't go blaming CC for this problem. There will be millions of CC users that don't have this, me for one. You haven't given us any system spec, operating system with service pack number. Which version of CC? Printer make and model. Is it Networked, how many printers do you have? Have you changed any settings in your printer properties? Have you Googled for this problem. There are loads of answers.
  13. Yes that normally happens with IE but I think its different with Google Chrome. I was using my friends laptop last weekend and I downloaded CC and wanted to save and nothing appears so I just ran the exe instead. The same went for Defraggler and Recuva. Terrible system Chrome apart the little pictures I see no advantage at all.
  14. Welcome to Piriform mcgojoh. There is no direct Uninstaller for DirectX 9 but you can download one DirectX 9 Uninstaller if you want too or just Google for another one. Normally a re-install should sort thing out. P.S. I can't see your txt file as it doesn't show just the same as pictures don't how on here.
  15. Thanks guys at least a few of you have said you have the same problem. I don't really see why its IE's fault when the same option works perfectly on other forums.
  16. Does this affect any of you guys/gals. When you click on a picture thats posted by a user to show something it normally opens a new window to show the picture. For the past 3 or 4 days it shows a Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage error message on every picture I click on. e.g. There are 3 pictures in this post Task Scheduler To Automate CCleaner ? Is anyone else having the same problem? This junction works ok on all the other forums I use.
  17. Don't worry about it. I had the same PM on Jul 10 2009, 02:21 PM. If she/it is after a date then I can recommend a few dating site, I replied.
  18. I don't think you will see any new results until the next version Alan.
  19. What are you talking about? I've been using CC for the past 3 years.
  20. Hi guys/gals. Now I don't use Google Chrome myself I've downloaded it but I haven't installed it but I installed CC on a friends machine that uses Google Chrome. Now the only very slight advantage of this is you can see the web pages of previous sites visited. After I did a clean and opened Google Chrome all the previous site add disappeared which I would expect after a clean. Is there any option I could click to save these pictures? I'm not talking about cookies. This is not a complaint its just an observation.
  21. Hi guys/gals. Now I've only been using Defraggler a couple of weeks on my new computer. I used it on my old one but it never finish it always crashes my machine. That isn't the main problem in this topic. When I run it on my machine the file map which is the layout of all the files on the drive looks pretty compact no problem. When I install Defraggler on a friends machines the file map is like a colander files scatter all over the place. After I do a defrag the file map doesn't change that much. I've always thought that Windows Defrag removes all the empty spaces and puts all the files together. Thats how its worked on every good operating system before Win2k/XP. Any suggestions why it doesn't do a full defrag?
  22. Thanks Hazel thats a good find. There are quite a few motorcycle manuals in there so I've posted the link on a motorcycle forum that I use.
  23. Welcome to Piriform Deb. Well I don't know where you found 1.32.345 from, thats was one of the first versions ever made. Its not even listed on FileHippo. Oh it is in the view more section - 11 Aug 2006 (3 years ago)
  24. As Nergal says what do you mean it won't download. I've just downloaded it again and it unzips because the original problem as been fixed.
  25. Keithuk
