Right-click securely delete with CCleaner
Panarchy replied to Panarchy's topic in CCleaner Suggestions
Any news on this? -
A joke... a joke!

Hello! It would be a great idea if you could right click a file or folder and press shred with CCleaner or something like that (some phrase like that). Please add this feature, as it is the only thing (other then a more secure deletion method) CCleaner is missing. Thanks in advance, Panarchy

^ It's a pretty good sales pitch! But, what's the point? It's freeware! That would be cool, but I am not sure that that would be possible I still think that they should add the 35 pass file deletion, it would be good.

Why are you advertising a different product? Why not try and improve this one, so it is as 'good' as the on you mentioned previously.
-
Hello! Forgot to tell you guys this, but if you don't have the program installed, winini still 'cleans' that program. Please fix Panarchy

When is this 35 pass file deletion going to be added? I have some very important data that I need to delete, so I want it at least a 35 pass deletion. Thanks in advance, Panarchy

Compared to PC Tools Registry Mechanic ($49.95) to CCleaner (Free!) the only difference in what they find (problems in the registry) is; NOTHING! (at last check) Panarchy

Okay thanks! I have downloaded and installed the newest one from the site. Let's check up on that error, shall we? Good news! It now opens in Firefox! YAY! Now doing a CCleaner thing again, to see if it will work, Good, no DLL error! Now to check if I have IE7, yep! Oh! IE7Pro isn't installed. I'll have to reinstall it. Thanks, Panarchy

^That one didn't work, and I have done Windows Update (Microsoft Updates) with Custom checked, and I have installed ALL of the updates. There are NONE left I have restarted my computer. The update thing still opens in IE6. What should I do? Should I go here: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/products/...ie/default.mspx And download the latest IE? (IE7) Or should I do something else? Thanks in advance, Panarchy

How soon? 'Cause I am really looking forward to it!
-
Okay, I'll do windowsupdate now.
-
I did that earlier today (to fix a separate issue) ^I will do that, when I get the chance. Maybe in an hour. I'll tell you how it goes.
-
OKAY! The exact same error (not really an error) is occurring, the exact same as at the start of this topic (But the Dial-a-fix thing did fix a seperate issue for me, one I was asking on a different forum) Please help! To reiterate: On CCleaner, when I click Check for updates, it opens in IE6 (Even though I have long since, been up to date [iE7]) I want it to open up in firefox (I have the latest version) and NO other browser! Thanks in advance, Panarchy

Okay. Well I've done what you said, (I renamed both the extensions to .BAK [from dll & cpl]), but the windows protection thing hasn't given the files back yet! I have refreshed! ____EDIT___ Refreshed again, they are there now!
-
^Okay! I'll give that a shot!
-
I have gotten an IEPeers.dll error (The specified procedure could not be found) But apart from that, nothing. I'll try the CCleaner update link again. Nope, same error, opened up in IE6. Please help.
-
Trying that now.

Hello! I recently used that winapp2.ini thing, (Unedited, someone gave me a link, on THIS site) I pressed analyze, then I pressed run cleaner, and after I pressed run cleaner I got the following DLL error; Please help me! Thanks in advance, Panarchy

Same things happens to me! Tried that, and now it opens in IE6! Even though I have IE7!!! Please fix!

^ But what about this 30 pass that I am hearing about?
