I want to delete all files in that folder that are older then 24 hours..... Files in that folder are not supposed to stay, if they stay something goes wrong, those files have to be deleted. --- so far I did use a tool like in the attachment. cscript deloldfiles.vbs c:\upload 1 does the job, but it would be nice to have ccleaner do the job this way....

Hello, In ccleaner -> advanced options you can define, that only files in windows temp folder being older then 24 hours are to be deleted. I really wish this would be extended to Custom "Folders and Files" because I cleanup files in some upload folder and I don't want to delete files with ccleaner that are currently in use. Tolomir

Yep, that was directed to the developer(s). Right now I've added that folder I've mentioned to the custom folders in CCleaner. Still I would really appreciate some update for CCleaner (hey I'm a donator :-) Thanks for your help, Whiteshark, though. Tolomir

I see, so in IE internet setting and options, I could change the path to be the original english path for that. I wonder though, why winspy can identify the index.dat + path properly. This is from my registry: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\Cache\Paths\path1] "CacheLimit"=dword:0003c02e "CachePath"="C:\\Dokumente und Einstellungen\\Tolomir\\Lokale Einstellungen\\Temporary Internet Files\\Content.IE5\\Cache1" This could be a way to identify the location of the index.dat properly. If gives you the proper path to Content.IE5

Ok - upgraded to latest CCleaner version. Afer a reboot it's still there - full with 800+ entries. Btw. my path is: C:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\tolomir\Lokale Einstellungen\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\index.dat Maybe CCleaner cannot handle the German path? Tolomir

Hi, http://www.acesoft.net/index.dat%20viewer/....dat_viewer.htm pointed me to the right direction. I've selected the index.dat checkbox in CCleaner. Analyzed and deleted content, did a reboot. Still winspy was able to display the content of index.dat - because CCleaner did even not delete the index.dat file.
