  1. There always will be 1 fragment but I've never seen 0 fragment.
  2. fragghead, Windows SP3 has been available for almost a year and has several Critical Security Updates so it should be installed to protect the system and your information. Also you should enable Automatic Updates or at least be notified that Updates are available. Go to Control Panel then Automatic Updates then select Automatic (recommended) or at least Notify me but don't automatically download or install them. Go to Secunia Online Software Inspector then run it to see what other applications are vulnerable: http://secunia.com/vulnerability_scanning/online

  5. I guess you haven't heard what havoc the latest Conflicker or Virut mutated trojans can inflict without SP3? The only easy sure way to remove them is a compete FORMAT of the hard drive and install the operating system while disconnected from the Internet to prevent re-infection.

  8. Wecome os008 I use Defraggler to defrag individual files only on my Vista Home Premium system and it works well at that. I find that Vista does a good job of defragging but I have made sure that the system is powered on when the schedule needs to be run. That is quite true and quite possibly the cause of the slowdown.

When I used to install High Speed connection for a cable supplier here I had the chance to install it in a home of young people that looked like the person in the picture and when I was about to test the connection one of them said I know what I'm doing and had some of the most vile pr0n on the screen in seconds that I have ever witnessed. I looked around for the parents and asked where they were and they said At Work with a most disgusting look on their faces. I just picked up my toolkit and my jaw from the floor and left.
