  1. That would just end up making the file larger than it already is. The interface is pretty clean and not very Metro. It's a good balance.

Besides, people don't spend too much time with CCleaner to pay so much heed. For example, I just run it from the Context Menu of the Recycle Bin.

CCleaner is useful. People would hardly stop using it for something such as this imo.

  2. Why are they two different things - active and system? shouldn't they technically be the same thing working together?

    >I understand that system monitoring won't work unless Active monitoring is ticked.

    >but active monitoring will work independently - but what will it monitor without system monitoring being checked?

    >it says active monitoring will keep CCleaner up to date (confirmation box) - so is this an auto update feature?

    > does this mean that you won't have to open CCleaner ever again?

edit: haha this is so weird.

  3. 0/10 no maximize button

    Long time no see ishan

Haha, hey man! How have you been?

I was going to add one and then realised that I see the CC window for less than 10 seconds at a time and most of the time, it is Right click Recycle Bin and "Run CCleaner".

    The brush has no bristles.

Long time no see ishan :)

    Hey Hazel! :)

    Welcome back Ishan.

This isn't me being rude against your Photoshop skills. I just wonder why the trend is nowadays especially since Win8x to make flat UI's, etc., that seem to me like a step backwards from icons/images with nice drop shadows, high level of detail, etc., to something less expressive.

    No offence taken.

I prefer flat because it is easier to design and there is more focus on the content/information. But obviously, it comes down to personal preference.

  4. Am I missing something? If you've gotta install the Agomo client to all your computers, why not just install the programs themselves?

I honestly don't see the point of it. Any software I use is installed on my PC

I think it lets you run CCleaner, etc. from a remote location.

  5. Welcome back ishan! Nice mosaic

Looks like you are looking through a kaleidoscope.

    Hi Ishan :)

    Hi, Ishan. Nice one. :)

Why thanks Rob, Hazel and Login! Just got a new 22" monitor (a new desktop, actually) and I was just browsing Piriform and thought "why not?" I've been so busy with college lately! Good day to ya'll.

    1. Let's open up the CCleaner interface.

What does this do? - The next time you power on your PC (After a restart or shutdown) and login to Windows. CCleaner will automatically perform a clean that won't require any interaction from you.

    Advanced Guide To Auto Customization

The above step is simple and straight forward, However we can further customize what we would like CCleaner to do automatically, To do this, We are going to use Windows Task Scheduler to access advanced options.

I have uploaded my own Task Scheduler file for you to use. This can be easily modified to your likings, This is done to save time and a bunch of steps.

    Download | CCleaner Auto.xml (6.0KB)

    1. Open Task Scheduler. This can be done easily by pressing the Windows Key + R key on your keyboard. This will open the Run Window, Enter the code below inside the Run Window and click OK.

    control schedtasks

    2. Inside the Task Scheduler Library Window. Right click and click Import Task. Select CCleaner Auto.xml that you downloaded.

After opening CCleaner Auto.xml, A Window like this should show.

To make things easier for the both of us, I've already created some Trigger presets that can be accessed by clicking on the Triggers tab.

    iTcYC.png

    3. These Triggers are all disabled, You can choose to enable any selected one by clicking on either Trigger and then clicking the Edit button.

For this guide I'm going to choose "Daily - At 8:00PM every day" and Enable it by ticking the Enabled box inside the Edit Trigger Window.

    Further Configurations We Can Apply

Save battery usage on Laptops | Image Link

Information About Command Lines / Arguments (Optional)

You'll notice in the Actions tab I have added 3 command lines to the end of CCleaner.exe

    ifH9l.png

    What do they mean?

/AUTO - Runs the cleaner upon loading and then closes the application.

/S - Runs the program in Silent mode, Meaning the interface of CCleaner won't show or disturb you.

$(Arg0) - UAC (User Account Control) bypass. So you won't have to see the UAC window or click Allow if you have UAC enabled, A must have for AUTO Triggers.

    >> To see more Command Lines and Arguments. Click here.

That covers the CCleaner part of this guide.
