Hello All,
I was wondering if there was good freeware that could convert PDF to Powerpoint. I have a powerpoint that has been saved as PDF and I would like to get in it and play around. Thank you!

POSSIBLE SPOILER: Don't read unless you have already or don't intend to see the film.
From the movie standpoint: If it had been me, after what happened to Sam, screw em' I'd take them out.
However, I do like when movies stay true to their print origins!

I find the books are usually much better than the movie but I don't see how a book could properly describe this guy. He is different.
True..when I finish the book, I'll let you know what I think. Since I have seen the movie, I'm sure I'll picture Javier Bardem as Anton Chigurh.

I'm reading the book right now.

Here you go: CCleaner
The standard build has a bunch of other languages and a toolbar, the portable download is for a flash drive, and the slim version has just the English language and no toolbar!

Gonna have to get rid of a laptop and I was wondering if there is anything out better than DBAN to securely erase everything, or is it the best? Thanks!

Thanks for this. It has an AutoUpdate feature as well but it costs $9.95 (US) a year. It also has full Vista support.
Taken from the JavaCool site:
SpywareBlaster supports the following browsers:-
Internet Explorer
and any browsers that use the Internet Explorer engine, including:
-
The built-in AOL web browser
-
Avant Browser
-
Slim Browser
-
Maxthon (formerly MyIE2)
-
Crazy Browser
-
GreenBrowser
-
Mozilla Firefox
-
Netscape
-
Seamonkey (formerly the Mozilla Browser Suite)
-
Flock
SpywareBlaster does not offer protection for Opera at this time. Since Opera does not support Active-X, malware isn't as big an issue with the Opera browser.

I haven't noticed a lot of differences between 6.5 and 6.6. The screen is now blue, it is free, has many more languages now, and discs can now be verified immediately without being ejected first if the drive supports this feature. I burned a disc with it last night and seemed about the same. I haven't had time to go through it thoroughly yet, but will let you know if I find anything else.

Looks like Ashampoo Burning Studio 6.5 has been officially set to free. You don't have to register the new version. I had version 6.5 and it worked well for what I needed it for. I just downloaded this version and plan to see how it compares. If anyone is interested here is the download page: Burning Studio

Is there a freeware version of AnyDVD? By the way, is this a ripper or decrypter -- or both?
It is a decrypter and you can get a 30-day trial. It's probably the easiest method, but the freeware route will work just as well. DVDFab is updated frequently and can do your decrypting for you. Then use DVD Shrink or Shrink to 5.

Plus there are so many different ways and programs to do this with. A couple of guides to read up on.
about halfway down
this is how I learned "back in the day"
Don't start out trying to back up one of your Disney movies either. I find that they are a bit tougher sometimes. Get the latest software and try out one of your older movies first to learn the basics!

If I'm not mistaken, DVDShrink doesn't burn. So, what do you use for a burner?
ImgBurn does nicely!

LOL...this quite possibly could be the best thread I have ever read on here!

I know you can get XP through Dell.com there are probably other places but that is the place that first comes to mind.

I'll throw my hat into the lot of suggestions.
To me it may look like a screen resolution setting. If you're at 800x600 try 1024x768. I know some programs won't display correctly at 800x600 as I ran into a handful of them back in my Win98 days.
This is going to sound crazy but it was already at 1024x768. I changed it around anyway just to see what happened. The other resolutions were not right at all but when I changed it back to 1024x769, the Superantispyware screen was fixed. Here comes the crazy part, the other applications still aren't right though.
I made a little video in Movie Maker and as you can see when I try to save it to my computer, the text is jumbled up and I can't use any of the buttons "Back, Next, or Cancel, at the bottom.
The Windows and Applications in CCleaner still doesn't fit.
Here is the screen of the corrected Superantispyware:
Thanks again EVERYONE for the wonderful help.

Thanks everyone for your responses. CeeCee the problem still occured after disabling themes. Hazelnut, all the suggestions on that site were already checked and enabled. I thought the registry fix would work, but I still have the same problem after applying it. Smilingralph the DPI is set at 96. I really appreciate everyones help. It's not a major problem, it's just really annoying sometimes. Here is my CCleaner application example. The text goes off the side. I don't know if others does this or not.

I tried your suggestion and I still have the same problem. I still want to think you for your help. I appreciate you trying to help me.

Unchecked smooth edges and still have the problem.

Yes, when I first noticed the problem is when I was jsut trying out one of those dumb make XP look like Vista things. It messed things up pretty badly. I had to use my recovery CD's to change things back. Restore wouldn't work. Some of my applications haven't been the same since.
-
Thanks, but the problem still exists after your suggestion.

Thanks CeeCee, I did what you said and saw that my fonts were set for extra large. I changed that and it changed my start bar. I went and changed windows and buttons to something else then back to the default. I uninstalled my video driver and reinstalled it and still no change to the applications. Updated pic below
