  1. That worked, but not very well. You can save the window position, but not the sizes of the panes inside the window. Drive section is still four lines.
  2. Hi coder of Defraggler, what do think about a German translation? Six (Germany, Bavaria)
  3. It does not work always. It works, it is a fresh deleted picture. It is an older one. No preview available but status excellent. If I restore it I can open it with ACDSee but I have a blank page.
  4. Recuva does not restore pictures like *.bmp *.gif *jpg. OK. I get the file but it is not usable. You cannot open it with programs like ACDsee or Windows picture viewer. I had the same experience with "Restoration". Regards Six
  5. In Germany is a site to download the CCleaner. [Link Removed] Not the latest version but a former version. On this site is a link to another site to download CCleaner, but the latest version. [Link Removed] If you register there you have to pay 96 EUR (?) for one year membership. Such sites are many in Germany. That is the address of the people: Twin Towers, Baniyas Road 217, 4404 Dubai - United Arab Emirates Telefon: 00431 89 400 50 E-Mail: support@mega-downloads.net
  6. I ran CCleaner last version in order to find issues. I checked registry integrity. There are no problems found. ========================== Then I ran RegCure. It found 193 File/Path References. My question: Why?
  7. Sorry, for the delay coming back now. I don't need to have a backup of my registry. I always have saved all files and I also do have a mirror of my hard drive disk. The problem still occurs also with the latest version. When I run Registry search without doing any revises and I close CCleaner I guess the registry is blocked by CCleaner. When I now run a different registry Cleaner (tuneup utilities 2007) it works very slow. When I shut down my computer after using CCleaner my computer won't shut down. 5 or 10 minutes later there is no problem. Is it a problem with Win98SE ?
  8. Hello, hazelnut, Thanks for your reply. No, I did not do a backup iof my registry. Why? I checked the registry and CCleaner found only wrong 16 pathes. I cleaned it without saving the registry key. Now I want to restart my computer buit it did not shut down. So I reinstalled a mirror of my operating system to get the old condition. Then I did it again. After that I used a different registry cleaner and I found out that it works very very slowly. I guess CCleaner still had access to my registry but in Task Manager it was closed. After the second scan I was able to shut down (and restart) my computer.
  9. Is CCleaner a mess? When I cleaned something in the registry my computer won't shut down. Win98SE
