  1. I know, but I still really want to get Firefox, there is no ebay toolbar for it though, thinking of getting it anyways and using it as the primary browser, but use IE when I have to.... I know, but I still really want to get Firefox, there is no ebay toolbar for it though, thinking of getting it anyways and using it as the primary browser, but use IE when I have to....
  2. It still looks a helluva lot better than IE6, I would get Firefox, but the users on this PC have to use eBay toolbar....
  3. Re-install with any real-time scanners; Firewall, Spyware (MSAS?), or whatever else you have turned off.
  4. Problem FINALLY fixed. The PC shop put a enw mother board in, but it made my PC screwy (crash screens). Then they realised that our windows was a tinsy bit faulty, so after a re-install, as well as me re-installing all my programs and tweaking the PC to how it was before, I'm back, and the PC I must admit is better than before....
  5. Oh wells, I can access it from another PC....
  6. Its so annoying, and there seems to be no explanation for it.....
  7. Tesco Broadband. I can do it on other PC's, only have one in my house though.
  8. Neither the forums or site, don't know why, works fine on other PC's.....
  9. Hmm, go to Start - Run - type "msconfig" (without the quotes) and under services and startup see if there are any things there that are associated with the reg keys. If so, and you don't use them, untick them, go into safe mode, and try again (in Administrator if it finds more things?).
  10. Hmm, it is strange that you cannot view the Permissions, you should be able to for everything. To access Safe Mode (for Windows XP), go to Start - Run - type "msconfig" (without the quotes) - BOOT.INI - tick /SAFEBOOT - Hit Apply then O.K - Press the Restart button. Repeat the above but untick the /SAFEBOOT box to get out of safe mode. If you have another type of Windows, refer to this page to see how to restart into safe mode; http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/tsgen...001052409420406 If you have still have problems, report back here. I would recommend rather than signing in as Administrator, try it also with your normal account (just make sure it has the same privileges as Administrator - see User Accounts under Control Panel).
  11. That is indeed true, and s shame if it is. Let it be a lesson to you devans00 to never store anything in temp mode unless needed to.
  12. Lol, indeed One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest is an excellent film, but I'd had that for some time, the new one I have really appeals to me, my brother tells me its from the game Jade Empire.
  13. That is true. I tested this out on y PC and others for the first time and it has ran for ages, but after while, it does indeed speed up.
  14. TuneUp Utilities 2006 has an app in it that is good at restoring stuff, its only a trial program but give it a go: http://www.tune-up.com/download/tu2006/
  15. How did you fo it, was it from what I said?
  16. Scan for issues - and for each thing that comes up navigate to it with regedit (you can see where to go under "Registry Key" next to each issues CCleaner finds), right-click the key you find, go to Permissions, click add, type Administrators and make sure you have full control (tick each think next to it under allow), then right-click and hit delete, should do the job.... (regedit: Start - Run - type regedit - O.K)
  17. I tried that at first and it didn't come out fine, best to uninstall and install the new version.
  18. I can understand your opinion.
  19. Are you sure you are typing Administrators with an s at the end?
  20. I just found that Outpost was screwing up my system, uninstalled it, rridgely recommended ZA, got it, have upgraded it to Pro now.....
