I have read through everything in that link and followed the suggestions given, all to no avail.
There seems to be no way of removing this software. One comment made by another user:
"These are some very compelling arguments for NOT using Ccleaner. However there is no need to find an alternative just yet. If you are on Windows 10, a lot of the stuff CCleaner used to do is now built into Windows. At this point I am no longer using or recommending CCleaner anymore to cleanup the small things in Windows."
exemplifies my feelings exactly. I feel that the inclusion of CCleaner Browser when one downloads CCleaner is rather underhand, especially if the software refuses to be deleted or uninstalled subsequently.
Consequently, I shall never download CCleaner again and shall advise my contacts of my problem and that they, too, should avoid this useless software.
