  3. It's just cosmetic! Sometimes if closing CCleaner and then re-opening it doesn't happen the second time. It's intermittent but repeatable. We need them to open a bank, so they double our deposited amount.

    Gmail recovery

If it was downloaded and stored on your computer then possibly. If it was only stored on the gmail server(s) then those are protected and Recuva (or anything else legitimate) can't touch them. You may be able to recover them from within gmail itself. Are you trying to recover some, or worried about someone else recovering them?

    Gmail recovery

Hi, Can RECVA find deleted gmail. Thanks Nac
  6. Don't beat yourself up about it, it's deliberately done like that in the hope that people will miss the slightly different name. It's a tactic used by many less reputable companies (and outright scammers). And obviously it's worth their time and effort, so they probably fool enough people to make money. If I recall correctly the screens in that one are also designed to mimic the genuine CCleaner. I've not seen that particular one for a while and thought that Piriform/Avast had managed to get it taken down, but if it was making the scammers money then they'll just try again.
  7. Known issue. Please see this thread: https://community.ccleaner.com/topic/59202-ccleaner-duplicates-all-items-on-selection-window/
  8. Thanks for the modified entries. Winapp2.ini update: https://github.com/MoscaDotTo/Winapp2/commit/9132f3eb72eff6d79c1998d0934af7946d09b631
  9. Look in the attachments. On my main desktop pc it's fine, no bug. but on my small 2 in 1 10" tablet with resolution 1920 x 1080 i have all duplicate entries under advanced cleanup tabs.
  10. Nukecad, Wow!, Nuke, I don't consider myself a digital geek, but can say that I know my way around a computer. Nevertheless, I did not notice the CC Cleaner in the app I was trying to install, even after I have been working on it for days. Go figure! And you are right, the CCleaner in my other tablet is indeed from 2015, and I missed that too. I appreciate your response very much. Thank you

  12. The first thing to note is that the genuine CCleaner for Android v1.11.42 was from 2015 and so is well out of date. I doubt that it will work on Android 10. Your Samsung probably has an older Android. You need to get the latest CCleaner for Android version from the Google Play Store. https://www.ccleaner.com/ccleaner-android And yes, the genuine CCleaner does need all those permissions to be able to clean Android properly. More importantly though - What you then downloaded is a known fake. We've seen it before. The name of the official product is CCleaner. Only two 'Cs'
  13. Why doesn't Ccleaner work in my new tablet. How can I fix that? I just got a new tablet. I downloaded CCleaner Version v1.11.42, from Amazon Appstore to it, but I cant get it to work. When I click "Analyze", I get a message that says "Ccleaner keeps Stopping", and 2 options to click: App Info, and Close app. (Photo of this attached). The same thing happens when I click App Manager, and Custom Analyses, and Customs Files and Folders in Settings. Only thing that comes OK is System Info. I have the same version Cleaner in an older Samsung tablet, and it works fine. I tried to download

  18. Hello! While it appears Server 2003 is supported - https://www.ccleaner.com/ccleaner/faq/installing/what-operating-systems-does-ccleaner-support - It does not run. 'Not a valid Win32 application' is displayed with the latest release. I tried the last XP supported release also (which does work fine on XP), message similar to 'not a supported operating system' displays. Just a note to admins to either update support page or perhaps fix last XP release (should technically be supported on Server 2003). Thanks!

  20. OK... 7971_Slim installer seemed to run fine. Clicked finish... and Nada. Nothing happened. Checked CCleaner directory, and the prog files seem to have been installed. Tried clicking on the .exe file in program directory and nothing happens. Any more suggestions? TIA
  21. Just DLed 7971. I'll try it I use Microsoft Security essentials (4.10.209.0) and MalwareBytes (Free 4.2.0).
  22. The latest CCleaner version is 5.71.7971 Can you try the Slim build (the last in list) https://www.ccleaner.com/ccleaner/builds What antivirus do you use?
  23. I've been using Cleaner (Free) for years with no problems and great results on my Win7 SP1 machine. Suddenly in August it crashed. I attempted to re-install (Ver 5.67.7763) and it failed. I got an error message (from Windows I presume ) that the installer had failed. Subsequent attempts to install later versions lead to the same result. I've got no clue of even what to look for. I've saved a .DMP file attached as a ZIP file. Any help appreciated. TIA noend7 CCleaner_v5.67.7763.exe.8240.dmp.zip

  25. Recuva won't do it because you can't mount the phone as a drive.
  26. I don't think that CCleaner would have done that, especialy if you only 'ananlyzed' and didn't actually clean. Maybe take a look at Recuva to see if it can recover what you have misslaid? https://www.ccleaner.com/recuva If the files are on a card you will have more luck than if they are in the phones memory.
